About the Spokane Canoe and Kayak Club

Welcome to the Spokane Canoe & Kayak Club!

All paddlers of non-motorized craft are welcome! The Spokane Canoe & Kayak Club is located in Spokane, Washington and has approximately 400 members. Club activities include paddling trips for kayakers and canoeists of all interests and skill levels.

Memberships

Membership is $25 per year per household. Each member of the household who would like to be an SCKC member must sign the application. Print the Membership Application (PDF Format), fill it out, and send it with a check for $25 made payable to "SCKC" to the address below.

Everyone who participates in an SCKC shuttle or an SCKC trip MUST sign the: Trip Waiver (PDF format).

Membership Meetings

General Membership meetings are held the fourth Monday of the month, from September through April, at the Corbin Community Center on the corner of Lincoln and Cleveland in Spokane. (for directions, see this MapQuest map). Meetings consist of slide shows, paddling presentations, and environmental topics.

Paddling Clinics

Paddling clinics are offered during the year for flatwater canoeing, sea kayaking, and moving water (canoeing and white water kayaking) by ACA Certified instructors.

Board Meetings

SCKC is governed by a Board of Directors elected by the membership. Board meetings are open to the public and are held the first Monday of the month from September to June, at Mountain Gear’s corporate office, 6021 E. Mansfield, Spokane. (MapQuest map), unless otherwise indicated. Interested SCKC Club members are welcome to attend.
