SCKC, Northwest White Water, the Spokane River Forum and REI teamed up recently to enhance river access at this very popular location. A problem of bank degradation due to path braiding resulted in an unsightly assortment of random trails and weed infestation. The scope of the project will include weeding, hydro seeding, extension of a fence, relocation of a kiosk and the graveling of a pathway from the parking lot to the river. REI generously contributed $10,000 towards this project.
